Beautiful shabby chic

One of the antique rag rugs, (from my vintage shop), is in this lovely treasury! Take a look at those colors and the *beautiful* antiques and vintage items in the treasury entitled "A Shabby Chic Cottage". I think Bobette, the creator, has done a fabulous job of this treasury. I think it's a great candidate for the Etsy front page and more!!

I've been so busy I haven't showcased any of my new listings from either shop, so here's is a bit about the rug - one of many I'll be listing from a fabulous estate collection.

These rugs were made and kept by a lady from Virginia and southern Maryland, and who lived to the age of 100 years old! Her grand-daughter-in-law has shared that she stopped making them in the 60's, so most will be antiques. I believe this one was probably made in the 1940's or early 1950's. Gently used, if at all, and now freshly washed and sparkling clean and sweet smelling. There are no odors, stains, catches, tears, holes, and so forth.

More vintage and antique Treasuries!

I'm just as passionate about antiques as I am of creating! Antiquing is what I did in New York before moving south, and I've been fortunate to have crossed paths with a few antiques in my new locale. This time, instead of colleciting, I'm having fun sharing!

I want to thank the Etsy shopkeepers of Nachokitty and Susantique for including two of my newest items in their superb treasuries. Both feature vintage and antiques and I'm honored to be included in both! I plan on sharing more about my newest items, soon, but here's a sneak peek at one of my fabulous rag rugs and some interesting wooden carved fruits - both are antiques in the literal sense.

"One in the hand are worth two in the bush" treasury by susantique:

And, of course, it wouldn't be right not to include of few treasures from both shops. Here they are in no particular order.

I hope you'll enjoy, and please stop by their shops to see more!

Another treasury and another thanks!

Another heartfelt thanks to trinitydj for including my beautiful linen dress/jacket ensemble from my vintage shop in another super treasury!

Hot out of the fire treasury:

Other than what's been featured in treasuries, I don't think I've showcased a lot of my new vintage clothing items lately. I've added some glassware, and will be listing some estate antique rag rugs in the near future.

Since we still have a lot of summer to go, there is still time to purchase this linen outfit that's perfect for summer occasions. It's vintage 1980's, and a beautifully designed and well constructed piece, made by a private Miami Florida designer. The handwork detail is simply exquisite!! Here are a few shots, but please stop by my vintage shop to see more.

Trinitydj's shop and treasury

I was so surprised to find a note in my mailbox on this typically quiet holiday. It was from a very kind Etsy seller, trinitydj, letting me know that one of my fabric flowers, (above), was in her treasury.

Sweet wine treasury:

The treasury is just gorgeous, and it was obvious to me, at first glance, this piece of work was assembled by a true artist!

After drooling over the treasury, I set out to find more incredible artwork, and was just awestruck at what I found - page after page of true artisan work, done meticulously in a rainbow of colors, shapes, sizes and themes. I would love to have showcased the whole shop, but narrowed it down to this collection - kind of a treasury in itself!

Enjoy, and please stop by trinitydy's etsy shop to see more!!
