Beautiful shabby chic

One of the antique rag rugs, (from my vintage shop), is in this lovely treasury! I've been so busy I haven't showcased any of my new listings from either shop, so here's is a bit about the rug - one of many I'll be listing from a fabulous estate collection.

These rugs were made and kept by a lady from Virginia and southern Maryland, and who lived to the age of 100 years old! Her grand-daughter-in-law has shared that she stopped making them in the 60's, so most will be antiques. I believe this one was probably made in the 1940's or early 1950's. Gently used, if at all, and now freshly washed and sparkling clean and sweet smelling. There are no odors, stains, catches, tears, holes, and so forth.

Round in shape, measuring 34", (86.5cm), across.
